A little “risky business” after the Children’s Museum and a nap. Tofu and lentils for lunch. Dude lost a wheel in the middle of one of the busiest intersections in Brooklyn. Nana and Opa Urban were having some friends over so we stopped by to see everyone and have some drinks and snacks. Uncle Tim stopped by too. The walk home. Noah telling Nana Holt that our tub isn’t as exciting as their shower/jacuzzi/game show booth.

When Noah woke up Saturday morning, KABOOM! Nana and Grampa Holt were there. Crazy world… and they came bearing gifts. Noah showing Grampa one of his favorite books. Eventually we got ready and went out for some lunch. Nana was cozy. Noah was trying to nap before we even got our food, and he was nice enough to be patient while we ate it. “Done yet?” The new backpack is amazing.

Last night was another party for one of Noah’s day care mates, Isaac. I was worried Noah might not have as much fun because it started around dinner time… …but he quickly forgot about being hungry. It was at a local gym for kids and it was the first time I really got to see Noah play around on the equipment, even the stuff that was too big for him. Isaac the birthday boy posterizing fools (no offense little girl). Jojo and Violet, girls who also day care with Noah. Noah laughing at a random girl staring into the corner. Mocking random girl. The bubble show lured the kids (and adults) into a room for pizza. Birthday boy was into the pizza. Sarah protected her cupcake from Noah a little better this time. Mata with her dad and new sunglasses. Thanks to Isaac and his parents for inviting us!!

Last Sunday was a birthday party for Lucian (who “day-cares” with Noah), he turned 2. “Wait.. it’s Sunday, how come I’m playing with everyone from day care?” Lucian was blaming a (toy) truck for the shiner. Isaac’s birthday is next week. Amerie organizing the trains. Noah telling Sarah how good the cupcakes are going to be. Sarah eating a little too slow I guess. Don’t look at me Sarah, I’m on the other side of the table. Yell at Noah’s mom. Lucian, and Amerie.

It was the last day of our quick trip to Providence, and Noah was still struggling with Julian’s high chair. Julian was getting tickled. …and Joshua was shoveling the stairs. Unknown sleepy baby. Separately, there was a board game store in the building. They had bicycle racing board games… Dinner. This was almost a good flick of Julian trying to show the other boys how to break into the toy machine… Back to the crib for some jamming. Noah getting into it… Thanks to The Deaner’s for having us. It’s always great to see them, hopefully it’s not too stressful to have the Holt tornado come through.

We left NH to spend New Year’s Eve in Providence with The Charest’s’s and The Deaner Fam. First thing first, get the kids fed. Benjamin got right to work. Julian kept it portable. Noah was sliding down in Julian’s chair, so he struggled to even see what he was eating. I showed Noah how we live it up on New Year’s Eve!! He looked at me like I was crazy. (Flick by Joshua) Let the party BEGIN!!! BALDERDASH!! 6 people with kids that’ll have us up early, what do you expect? Happy New Year!

Funny thing happens in some small towns I know. These big stores comes in selling all kinds of goods, and other pharmacies, clothing stores, hardware stores start to close. Then even the people that owned the stores that closed start shopping at the new store. Thing is… No one really know “who” owns this new store, and they don’t sit on community boards, or show up to high school basketball games to cheer on their kids, or sponsor local fishing tournaments. In the end things seems like they work out, and I try to make a conscious choice to just shop somewhere else which is easy for me because we usually bring everything we need. Then somehow we end up there anyway. Drawn in. Like South Park characters. (see also “Meh“) (Fake) Flower Aisle. Noah picked out a .10¢ pumpkin. The toys in pink boxes aisle. Before we had Noah I never noticed all these “Family restrooms”, nice invention. Next was lunch at The Dairy Bar, with Sarah and Oliver. Amazing onion rings. Amazing haddock sandwich. Home to Nana and Grampa’s for a nap.
