A little “risky business” after the Children’s Museum and a nap. Tofu and lentils for lunch. Dude lost a wheel in the middle of one of the busiest intersections in Brooklyn. Nana and Opa Urban were having some friends over so we stopped by to see everyone and have some drinks and snacks. Uncle Tim stopped by too. The walk home. Noah telling Nana Holt that our tub isn’t as exciting as their shower/jacuzzi/game show booth.

A week or so ago, before I took off to snowboard in one of the few areas on this planet where I don’t cell or internet connection, my parents were in town and we all took Noah to The Brooklyn Children’s Museum. We started things off at the fake grocery store. Then we laughed at some real (small) turtles. I’m still working on phasing out these bibs, we’re almost there. Noah’s new thing is trying to swim… It might be fun to try to swim in, but the cork pit doesn’t taste very good. Shake the cork pieces out. Look at this bib… see why he needs one? Especially when he is having fun. “Time to get out of here?” Yep.

When Noah woke up Saturday morning, KABOOM! Nana and Grampa Holt were there. Crazy world… and they came bearing gifts. Noah showing Grampa one of his favorite books. Eventually we got ready and went out for some lunch. Nana was cozy. Noah was trying to nap before we even got our food, and he was nice enough to be patient while we ate it. “Done yet?” The new backpack is amazing.

I warned you that there would be another post about Noah bathing in Nana and Grampa Holt’s time machine/game show booth/showering experience. It, and Noah, are too hard to pass up.

Rain..? It’s winter. It doesn’t need to rain. It needs to snow. Nothing we can do though but make the most of it. Noah started the day right with some supervised oral hygiene. Then Noah met some of Auntie Mindy’s friends via web cam. Kate made some cookies in her new apron. Here’s a better, unobstructed view of this apron. Grampa out plowing the slush. Then Lori and Jaycee came over and Noah helped Jaycee open her present. Then Noah showed her how to use the cup holder. Kate was still in her apron. “So.. Jaycee.. What has blond hair and doesn’t float?” Jaycee wasn’t hearing it, mainly because she has to wear earplugs in the bath. Kate looking a little too comfy with two kids in her lap. Bed time.

A night at Uncle Gerry and Aunt Paula’sAuntie Mindy, Chilling, Family, Gear, Grandparents, Holidays 1 Comment »Hey, HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Here at www.noahholt.com/blog the holiday recapping continues.. Kate and I went skiing the day after Christmas and when we got home everyone was over to Uncle Gerry and Aunt Paula’s so we walked over, bottle in hand. When we got there Noah was tearing it up in Aunt Paula’s Tupperware cabinet, with her permission. Chilling with Nana and Uncle Lenny. Diaper change distraction with a flashlight Uncle Lenny gave us. Mallory’s new tattoo. Auntie Mindy getting used to the struggle to dress Noah so we can get him home and into bed. The reverse struggle.
