I never would have believed that Winter could make it hard for us to see people, even people that live exactly one mile away from us, but I get it now. Pushing a stroller through the snow, in the dark, and in the cold can keep an ambitious family housebound. I feel like our lazy family hibernated all Winter and now we are rubbing our eyes trying to catch up with friends who we hope still want to be our friends. Friday night we lured Richard, Susan, Wiley, and Ryder over with dinner and some belated gifts for the boys. They took the bait.
Noah, with dried guacamole on his face, stole their new cars.
Kate tortured Wiley with this rocket launcher. All the dude wanted to do was go outside and let the thing fly, but he’d have to wait… and wait…
…and wait…

Last Friday day care was closed so Noah and I spent the morning walking around the neighborhood, seeing what Spring had sprung. Sunscreen? Check! Hat? Check! Sunshade? Check!
Green as green gets.
One of the best photos I took all day.
Not all was blooming and smelling nice.
Finally, some exercise.

Noah and I went to the park with Savannah and her dad Andy after day care last week.
We were having fun, but from the minute we got there Noah was preoccupied. All he could think about were Firetrucks.
…and anytime he thought he heard one, he ran to try and see it.
…and when he didn’t see a firetruck, he was bummed.
We tried to shake it off, but you could see the thoughts of firetrucks (and sometimes buses) were weighing heavy on him.
Savannah even tried to distract him…
…but it was no use. He was a boy on a mission, and that mission was to stare at this red/orange brick building (which is a firestation) until a firetruck came out… or until I told him it was time to go home and eat something.

To strengthen her reign as Noah’s favorite Aunt (on the Holt side), Auntie Mindy sent up a gigantic box from NC filled with Easter themed goodness.
Thanks Auntie Mindy!! Noah loves the toys, and Kate and I love the chocolate.

Playing with a camo egg from Auntie Mindy’s Easter gift, modeling some hand-me-downs from Susan and Richard, and trying to decide what to wear today.
Might as well just wear it all!!
