After a great night’s sleep, we had a little breakfast before going to get some groceries. This photo can serve as a kind of “before” photo…
…because after I got back from a grocery run with Emmett, Noah was running in the driveway and took a dive.
Nana dried up the tears with strawberries.
Then Noah got mad at us for trying to clean up his wound and ran into the corner of the cabinets and got a cut on the left side of his head, more strawberries.
Luckily, he’s alright.
The pool is fine too.
Intercom.
World Cup Final.
Post nap bruiser.
Birthday party for Emmett.
Bratty birthday boy with silly string.
The poorly influenced younger brother.
The battered and bruised birthday boys nephew who is nervous about all this silly string stuff.
More pool.
Kate hoping tomorrow can be less eventful.

Saturday morning we made our way to the Outer Bank of NC for a week of almost nothing. Something I was really looking forward to. Thing was, the drive is about 12 hours with stops for Noah, food, and groceries.
Finding lunch on the road is always tough. Getting out of the car and into the humidity can be brutal.
Nice to stretch the legs.
They sure like peanuts in Texas…
Still nasty out.
4 hours later…
Bossy.
Cute though, so one more flick from the tractor…
2 hours later…
30 min. later…
45 min. later and we’re done.
13 hours total. NYC to Avon, NC.

The last evening of the last day of last weeks long weekend, spent trying to cool off up in Queens with Tim, Ladonna, Chris, and Miles.
One of many perks of joining a private park, flexible beverage rules.
Miles!
I couldn’t tell if this bike was broken, or if the bike was shedding it’s skin to maybe become a new bike.
Chris!
98º and we couldn’t help but try some ridiculous basketball shots.
Stolen Goldfish.
Hunger. Pizza ordered.
Kate stealing the largest slice, crafty.
Back to Brooklyn.
Thanks for inviting us out kids.

Kate and Aransas decided to avoid the head by pickling various things the other day. Noah and Savannah sat quietly in the living room and helped them get started by opening the spices while the mom’s were in the kitchen (don’t look at me, I was in my office with headphones on).
(Our cheap rug still has a yellow stain)
Fast forward 6 hours, and a couple naps later, and here you are pickled products.
Savannah testing out Noah’s crib.
Noah testing out his photo skills.
The whole apartment smelled like vinegar.

Over the 4th of July long weekend we had the park all to ourselves. Noah had his choice of things to push.
Noah pushed his skateboard around for a little while.
Caique gave Noah’s skateboard a try.
Biggest hurdle so far with the skateboard, getting Noah to wear his helmet.
