Lumpy Bumpy Pumpkin

Friends, School, Theater 2 Comments »

Last week I volunteered to herd Noah and his schoolmates to Shadow Box Theater on Bleeker St. to see The Lumpy Bumpy Pumpkin.  First off I have to thank Ms. Michelle and/or Ms. Ella for digging deep and finding a shirt for Noah that fit.  The shirts they had on hand would have touched the floor on him…

We took something like 18 kids, from two classrooms, on the subway.

This has to be the worst place to sit…

…or, maybe this woman (who wasn’t with our group) thought she had the worst place to sit.

Even little kids think a dude with a camera is shady.

This is the platform during our second transfer.

Audrey.

Ryder!

The other Noah in Lil’ Dudes class.

You know this dude (the trombonist) played some kid tunes.  Nice guy.

Ms. Michelle came prepared.

Mission accomplished.

Noah and his Auntie Mindy caught up the other night via the interwebs.

Noah went and got his computer.

“Noah, on a scale of 1 to 10 how excited are you that you will see Auntie Mindy for Thanksgiving?”

“10! (or is that “0”…  probably “10”)”

Mindy not laughing at my jokes…

Columbus Day at The Botanic Garden

On Columbus Day Noah’s day care was closed so him and I hung out.  Lucky for him Aransas and Savannah invited us to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden with Sabrina, Amelia, and Seamus.

Straight to the messiest place possible.

Poor Seamus was overdressed and got stuck having to wear one of his sisters old shirts.

The second messiest place.

Everyone waiting on Noah to carry the water pitcher up the hill.

Next stop, the most dangerous place possible.

I think Savannah is telling Noah that the fish had teeth.

Amelia.

Savannah and Noah trying to make friends.

Whiskey and apples.

The other weekend we packed into the car with Nathan and Geneva and trekked up to Tuthilltown Distillery for a little tour and tasting.

I think it was as I shot this flick that Noah realized that this “tour” was going to be super boring for him.

So he played a little game of parent-pong, being passed between Kate and I as we took turns taking him outside to run around.

Even climbing on the barrels was boring.

After lunch, some apple and pumpkin picking at Tantillo’s Farm as people fell from the sky.

More people jumping from perfectly good planes.

Geneva and Noah hunting ladybugs.

Sorry Nate, I wasn’t trying to edit your face out of this post… but I gotta go with the gems.  You know?

Thanks to Nathan and Geneva for planning the trip!
