The greatest part about me and all of my friends being globe trotting international taste-makers, is that even though Mark and Sara live in Los Angeles, their influence on contemporary photography is needed in New York from time to time. When the people (the lowly, helpless people) throw up the great camera beacon in the sky (think Batman) we/they have to respond. Once the creative catastrophe is cleaned up, we can kick back and read Noah a bed time story. These are the days of Noah’s life.

A week ago when I walked to pick up Noah, the sun was setting and sometimes there were rainbows, now when I walk to Noah’s day care it’s completely dark. I would be bummed, but I know it means snow is coming. Snow… dreamy. Walking by the trains for the Long Island Railroad. Earlier in the day we got the call, Savannah’s mom Aransas was going into labor. Plans were in place and our job, to pick up Savannah (so what if this picture is out of focus, I had Noah on my back while trying to push Savannah. I can’t do everything). We got to see Sara too! The next part of our job was to drop Savannah off with Dawn, Scott, and their son Chester. After that, all we could do was wait for news. Savannah’s sister Derby was born at 9 pm. She weighed 6 lbs. 15 oz. and was 19 inches long. (photo by proud father Andy)

BOO! The other weekend we rode our bikes up to Long Island City to a little park that was having a little Halloween Party. Treats and graveyards everywhere this time of year. Noah was dressed as a brave lil’ dude. After that park we went to another. Solid times.

Fort Greene Park Halloween FestivalChilling, Friends, Holidays, Partying, Theater Comments Off on Fort Greene Park Halloween FestivalThe other weekend we met up with Andy, Aransas, Savannah, Matt, Sabrina, Amelia, and Seamus for some craze going on at Fort Greene Park. On the way to the park we found a (disabled) firetruck. “Scary” graveyard setup… …and monsters everywhere. Seamus! (looking a little more tough than last time we hung out) Matt (in the red coat) and I held the cameras and purses while everyone else went on a horse ride. Fort Greene Dog Parade. This dog was “A tree growls in Brooklyn“… Here is a detail (in the style of Jon). Lunch. The crew (not really sure what Andy, in yellow, is drinking). As we left, there was a band playing and Noah started dancing and getting people psyched up. High-fives everywhere. Sleepy monsters.
