A morning swim out east visiting Mike and Kam.
Animal rescue!
Mission accomplished. Diego would be proud.
Inside, having lunch and drawing for Kam.
Noah and Kam really hit it off, it was an emotional good-bye.

After spending two nights sleeping in a tent, these two still look pretty good. I told them they’d survive. Fancy pastries for breakfast may have helped. After breakfast, checking out the beach in Amagansett. For lunch we met up with Mike, Kam, and “Mr. Will” for a boat ride. Sleeping quarters. Stealing Kam’s glasses. That dude. At dinner, waiting for a table. Thanks for cruising us around Mr. Will!

Long Island AquariumAnimals, Chilling, Eating, Exploring, Learning, Reading, Uncle Matt (Uncle Bugs) 3 Comments »Early September, waking up at Cedar Point County Park. Finding cool “seeds”. We met up with Uncle Bugs for breakfast in this super safe diner in a super safe part of town (those are bullet holes). Long Island Aquarium. Splashed. Flouders are strange. These things are strange too. Sharks. Back at the campground. I cooked dinner.

The weekend before Noah started Kindergarten we went out on Long Island for a couple nights of camping. On the way out we had some car trouble and Uncle Bugs met up with us to help out. After the car was handled, we grabbed dinner. After dinner we drove to Cedar Point County Park to camp for the night. Almost perfect right? Too bad we couldn’t have picked better neighbors. Always good to be camping.

An intrepid attempt to avoid using puns.Exploring, Learning Comments Off on An intrepid attempt to avoid using puns.Early September, we were taking advantage of the time we had before the start of kindergarten to explore, so we rode our bikes up to the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum. Noah was psyched. Maybe a little hesitant at first about exploring the submarine. Up on the flight deck. Space Shuttle Enterprise. View from the Captains Deck. On the hanger deck, where the plane would be kept. Lesson in frustration. Rocking the boat. Once Noah leaned back into this capsule, it took off and he’s now in outer space on his way to Jupiter, or Uranus, or somewhere.
