On Monday my dad went in for surgery at Dartmouth Hickcock Medical Center. We all went with him to show support.
By the time Kate, Noah, and I got there Dad was ready all preped and waiting for a surgery room to become available.
Noah saying goodbye for a few hours.
Saying “hello” to the play room.
Auntie Mindy checking out the photos on this blog that she missed while flying up to NH.
Lunch/nap.
After lunch we practiced some walking. Kate took photos.
Walking while holding onto only one hand.
Waiting by the computer that will tell us Dad’s status in surgery.
The computer never changed, instead the doctor came out and told us that everything went well and that Dad was resting comfortably. Everyone was relieved and knew it would be a while until we could see him so we went out for some dinner.
Relief.

Monday morning we were all up early again, Julian had a check-up and we had to get on the road to see Kim who lives near New Haven.
Noah was slobbering all over himself with excitement for this piano.
We said our good-byes and got on the road. Noah quickly fell asleep and woke up just in time to play with Kim’s daughter Julia and her friend Cooper.
Kim is getting Lasik Surgery next week, lucky. Kim did not get barfed on here, also lucky. Noah had just finished lunch.
A quick diaper change in the passenger seat of the car and back to Brooklyn.
Vacations are never long enough.

Since Noah was born Papa Holt has been joking with Kate about Noah having his first dirt bike (some of you remember our little JR50)  and when exactly that will happen. Some say single digits, some say double…..I guess we will all have to sit back and see. Let’s just hope when and if Noah gets this dirt bike Papa won’t make him wear this leather suit. Clearly, Kreg didn’t really enjoy it. Sorry Papa.

We had a big crew at the Beer Hall this weekend. Auntie Mindy was still in town, Uncle Tim came by, Neil, Tara, Michele, Dave, Sebastian, and Nathan. Plus Mike, Ian, Tucker, and Dale from the good ole days (NH) that Nate connected with on what the kids are calling Facebooks (Started by Mr. and Mrs. Facebook?)… or something like that. We also ran into Marzena, Ai, and Jeremy.
Wasted…
