Sending healing vibes via video

Today marks three weeks since Grampa Holt went in to have his gallbladder removed. He should have gone home the same day but his digestive system refused to play nice and got itself into a bind requiring a couple surgeries and a whole bunch of patience. It’s been a long, tough three weeks.

The other night Noah distracted Grampa with a couple stories.

See you (in person) tomorrow Grampa!

Vacation..

is…

…over.

To make things worse we couldn’t even leave Bass Harbor casually, stopping on the way home to break up the long drive. No, we had to race home to beat a Hurricane. Noah was a champ though, and with no traffic we made it home in just under 9 hours. Just in time for the heavens to open and some impressive rain and wind to rip through our neighborhood.

(Yeah, yeah, yeah.. Noah got my hobbit feet. I know.)

Lil dude wasn’t ready to play yet…

He was fine.

This guy…

The “cake” was a pot of “dirt”.

Sara!

Cleaning up.

Great time.

A quick story about a camera that Aunt Mindy used to have

Auntie Mindy, Bummed, Gear, Vacation Comments Off on A quick story about a camera that Aunt Mindy used to have

Saturday afternoon in Charlotte with Aunt Mindy.

As Noah tried to nap, Kate, Mindy, and I sat on the balcony. While we were talking, Mindy’s camera slipped off her lap slid through the railing, and fell twenty-one stories to the street below.

Luckily no one was hit.

Kate’s head showing us where the camera fell from.

The memory card and battery survived, but that’s it.

Friday night I picked up Noah from school and we met up with Joshua, Amanda, and Julian (and Kate) on the Upper West side. Unfortunately for you, Noah and I both failed. I failed to take many photos..

..and Noah failed to remember that he wasn’t wearing a diaper.
