Sunday morning my Dad/Noah’s Grampa got out of the hospital. He was a little sore, but otherwise feeling good and looking a lot better. We met up with him and My Mom/Noah’s Nana in Lancaster at a gardening store where Nana was making Grampa’s wallet sore.
Grampa’s intestines don’t look like this anymore.
A little park time before we would get in the car and drive back to NYC.
I’m not sure what this thing was, but it was labeled “Sex Machien”.
Kate stuck in a tube.
We said our goodbyes to Nana and Grampa and made our way back to NYC. When we stopped for lunch Kate spied this vacant farmers market that had some toys out.
Kind of a strange place, but Noah had a good time playing in the sandbox. Filthy kid.
First wardrobe change.
After getting cleaned up by the creek, we got back in the car and about an hour or so later, Noah got sick in the back seat. Second wardrobe change.
Back in the car. Back to New York.

After not feeling well Friday night, my Dad/Noah’s Grampa, went to the hospital to learn his intestines were kinked and he was going to have to spend 24-48 hours in the hospital. Bummer. An all ice chip diet and chilling in bed on a warm and sunny Saturday with your grandson in town… big time bummer…
On the bright side? At least his grandson (and son and daughter-in-law) were in town to keep him company.
Aunt Cuckoo (aka Aunt Paula) stopped by.
Aunt Mindy called in via web cam.
Looking around the hospital.
We found this bookcase…
…with a trick door.
Posing for new cell phone backgrounds. Noah now say’s “cheese” when anyone else (besides me) takes his photo. What are they teaching him at day care? How to sabotage my photos? Are the ladies at day care becoming my competition?
Nana showing Noah how to use the remote for the t.v.
Noah telling Grampa that he could’ve shown Nana how to use the remote.
We left Dad/Grampa to rest and went back to Nana and Grampa’s house to have dinner and some cake.
Signing Grampa’s birthday card.
Some light reading then bed.
Sunday we would spring Grampa out of the hospital.

As I type this, snowflakes the size of golf balls are falling from the sky, and even though I just got back from CO, my stomach aches a little wishing I could be sitting on a chairlift watching this instead of sitting in this uncomfortable chair looking at the snow through wooden blinds. That is today, this post is about yesterday and as you can see, there wasn’t any snow as we set off for Noah’s 18 month check up.
Going to the doctor is a little different now, Noah is starting to figure out the pattern. Cold hands, cold table, shots…
Weight, 22 lb 2 oz. Height, 31.5 inches.
After checking his ears came the shots, no flicks ’cause we needed all hands on deck. After the shots came a lollipop though and things seemed to slowly get better.

It was two days after we got back from Providence and I got the call that Noah wasn’t feeling well at day care. I was already in the car so a swung by and swooped him up. He didn’t have a fever, but he didn’t have much energy either so I put him in some comfy pants and we hung out.
He never just lays around like this so I knew it was the real deal. He was home for the next 2 days (see Sicklers), but he bounced right back just in time to get some presents from the Urban side of our family.
