The trailhead we were trying to find the day before was super easy to find, when IÂ knew where to look.
Our trail leader.
Nature is amazing. When this tree fell over it picked up the boulder it had grown around. How long until that boulder falls to the ground as the tree decomposes?
“Just keep climbing!”
Peaked.
Over it.
Noah was trying to head back down almost as soon as we got to the top. He was cold so I told him to take shelter in the trees while I took a couple of photos.
It only “looks” like he turned to stone.
The descent.
The reward.

While we were in NH, back in August, we had lunch…
geared up…
and went for a hike.
Like life, the path wasn’t clear.
But there was cool stuff along the way.
Then your family decides they don’t want to follow you up a grown-in logging road anymore.
“It was still fun right guys!?!”
“Right?”
Mostly forgiven.

For Noah’s 6th birthday we invited some of his friends to the Brooklyn Music Factory.
The kids started by jamming for while to warm up, then they started writing a song.
Oliver. Derby.
Chester.
Nooria (in the back with her dad and sister). Keado.
Jonathan.
Nooria’s sister Meesha.
The lyrics they came up with.
Derby feeling it.
Putting music to the lyrics.
Savannah and Keado’s dad.
Switch it up.
Jamming so hard it shook a tooth out of Paxton’s face.
Cake.
Dad jams.
Savannah wanted her vocals to be louder.
A mellow jam as we all said goodbye.
When we walked outside, Noah gave Savannah a ring that he found a few days before… These kids.
Thanks to everyone for coming!

The two Spanish Kindergarten classes in Noah’s school put on a play last week about a woman (played by a 5 year old) who has some troublesome farm animals (played by 5 year olds). Noah opened up the performance by welcoming everyone and giving them a quick rundown of the story, in English.
Noah’s classmate gave the Spanish version.
Paxton as Old MacDonald.
These ill behaved animals liked to play in the mud.
The pigs rolled in the mud…
Noah rolled out of the scene.
Wishy washing.
Ms. Chavez (the teacher of the schools other Spanish class) as stage coach.
The cast takes a bow.
Ms. Rabsatt (Noah’s teacher) thanking kids and the parents that helped build the set and costumes.
The kids waiting for parents to come up to the stage for photographs…
and hugs.
There may be video of this performance, I’ll keep you posted.
