Christmas Eve in BrooklynAuntie Mindy, Family, Grandparents, Gross, Holidays, Milestones, Psyched, Reading, Sappy, Stress 1 Comment »This year, for the first time, it was Christmas in Brooklyn. Luckily my parents and Aunt Mindy were able to make it down to spend it with us. Noah was excited. They came bearing gifts. Our tree struggled to cover them all. At the very same time, one of Noah’s teeth decided it wanted out of his face. Kate and Noah wanted (reluctantly) to try the ole’ string on the doorknob trick. Reluctantly. Many knots tried. Finally Noah asked me to just pull it out. Crazy face. A quick story before bed. Excited to see what both Santa and the Tooth Fairy would bring.

Long Island AquariumAnimals, Chilling, Eating, Exploring, Learning, Reading, Uncle Matt (Uncle Bugs) 3 Comments »Early September, waking up at Cedar Point County Park. Finding cool “seeds”. We met up with Uncle Bugs for breakfast in this super safe diner in a super safe part of town (those are bullet holes). Long Island Aquarium. Splashed. Flouders are strange. These things are strange too. Sharks. Back at the campground. I cooked dinner.

About a week ago Kate wrote “pig” on the chalkboard that Noah eats next to every morning. Today Noah erased it and said that he was going to write “pig”. The rest is history.

Has umbrella, won’t use it.Friends, Gear, Gross, Reading, School Comments Off on Has umbrella, won’t use it.The other day when I picked Noah up from school Ms. Ella was reading them a story on the steps that lead to the classroom. That was the best part of the trip. The worst part was the rain.
