Englishmen in Prospect ParkChilling, Eating, Friends, Sup Comments Off on Englishmen in Prospect ParkA picnic in Prospect Park with The Westlake’s who deserted us for England. August. The gang. Isaac has a crazy English accent now, I shouldn’t have been surprised. It was a quick visit, The Westlake’s already had plans, but I think they left extra quick when we ran out of drink. Sticking around, catching fireflies again.

Last week we brought Noah to P.S. 9 to register him for kindergarten next year. As Kate sat in the sunny auditorium filling out form after form, Noah and I took off so he could get to school. We got to school and realized his class was out. We dropped his stuff and as we got ready to head back out, he put his hat on backwards and said he did it to be “cool”. I asked him how “cool kids” stand. At the library near Nana T. and Opa’s looking for his class. Mid-morning theatrics.

Waiting to get into the Holiday Train Show at the New York Botanical Garden. Just in case you didn’t follow the link earlier.. everything in the show is made “of natural materials such as bark, twigs, stems, fruits, seeds, and pine cones”. I was partial to the Guggenheim replica. Is it wrong to boo a replica?
