Chilling in Providence

New Years was pretty chill.  Two sets of brand new parents..  we struggled to stay up.  We got up on New Years Day, had some bagels, and took a look around The Deaners new town.

First they strap you in so you can’t move, then they smack you around…  We spent New Year’s Eve with The Deaners in their great new house in Providence, RI.  Julian is getting big.  He’s 7 months old now and crawling all over.

Christmas Eve

Fancy, Grandparents, Holidays, Travel Comments Off on Christmas Eve

We drove up to NH on the morning of Christmas Eve.  Rain kept us from making very good time, but we delivered Noah to his NH grandparents safe and sound.  Nana Holt was excited to show off the Christmas outfit she had for him.

First trip away

Travel 1 Comment »

I spent a long weekend in Kentucky on assignment for Outdoor Life.  The job went really well, I think we might have a really nice story, but being away from the family for the first time was tough.  Luckily Kate and Noah met me at the airport (which in NYC isn’t always easy).

I tried to talk Kate into buying out this “K&K Upholstery Outlet” back in Evansville, IN but she doesn’t seem very interested.

Journey to the great north

I needed to get out of the city, Noah needed to to meet friends and family, Kate had no choice or excuse, so on Thursday we headed north up to NH.

Noah was great.  This was his first long distance trip in the car and he handled it like a champ.  He would be bummed when we first put him in the car seat, but after a few seconds he chilled out and enjoyed the view.

We stopped a few times to feed him, and once to buy him shade from the sun, and then again at The Vermont Country Deli in Brattleboro for pulled pork sandwiches, but we eventually made it up to Nana and Grampa’s.

Thanks Noah, for being stuck in the car for almost 8 hours, listening to my horrible taste in music, and barely putting up a fight.
