We had a special guest in mid-November… Aunt Mindy!

After hugs, and kisses, and cuddling we took a walk to Prospect Park.

Nathan (who plays plays hockey every week and is super good at ice skating and came to heckle) met up with us.

Story time.

Like a winter sun struggling to climb into the sky, young Noah and I struggle to get dressed so we can get him to school on time.

Later that night we had a conference with his teacher about how he’s doing, and what we can work on with him.

As we walked home Noah and I played “tag”. At one point while we were running around Noah hid behind Kate and when he did he put his two front teeth (which were loose) on her bag. When he moved, his two front teeth came out. There was a little shock after he quickly picked the teeth up…

But he was tough.

We got him some water.

He took a minute to get used to his new mouth.

The next morning at school he was king of the yard.

Early November, trying to get some time in on the bike before we have to hang it up for the winter. Noah’s not excited.

We bike to a rare Saturday morning Hapkido class.

A quick stop at home to drop off the bike…

…and pick up Mom.

Kate took us to the Rubin Museum to learn about sand mandalas. Noah brought his new dinosaur with us.

Truth be told, I mainly went on this little outing to test out my new camera, and here is where the overtaxed and undercharged battery on it died. Luckily for you, I still had my phone so I’ll let you know that after sketching for a bit the kids went back to the classroom and made their own sand mandala.

It’s the end of October. Noah’s class is going on a field trip to the Bronx Zoo.
